Daucus is the genus of plants that includes carrots, wild carrots, and several related plants, including from 22 to 25 species.

Uses
[edit | edit source]Some species are grown for the edible roots, but otherwise grown for their flowers.
Harvesting
[edit | edit source]Roots of edible species are harvested the first year, before flower stalks are created.
