Description The Atari Lynx II, a handheld gaming system first released by Atari in 1989. This is the second model, which offered a bevy of improvements and tweaks that made it smaller and more ergonomic. Even with these improvements it couldn't compete with the Nintendo Game Boy or Sega Game Gear, which offered more and better games. The Lynx found itself in distant third place, with game releases drying up after 1992.
