Description
English: Karst landscape: an Italian Karst lake (Lago di Doberdò). This very infrequent geological phenomenon is related to deep depressions, reaching the level of underground water. The level of Karst lakes is highly variable (usually, the level is very lower, as you see from the trees); sometimes they disappear for long times (seasons-years-tens of years). Karst lakes usually have no affluent or effluent.
