Deutsch: Familie des Luis de Borbón y Farnesio (1727–1785), jüngster Bruder des Königs Karl III., der seit 1776 mit der 34 Jahre jüngeren María Teresa de Vallabriga (Mitte) in einer morganatischen Ehe verheiratet war. Das Ehepaar hatte drei nicht thronerbberechtigte Töchter, die sich nicht der Hauptstadt Madrid nähern durften. Im Vordergrund links malte sich Francisco de Goya mit seiner Rückenansicht in das Portrait.
