Summary

Description
English: Macrocytosis is the presence of red cells found that are larger than normal (macrocytes). They occur in peripheral blood as a result prematurely release from the marrow. They are commonly seen in patients with liver disease, alcoholism megaloblastic anaemia, haemolysis Vit B12 and folate deficiency, pregnant women, newborn infants, aplastic anaemia and , hypothyroidism.
