Description The Pioneer LaserActive, a LaserDisc player/home video game console hybrid that was released 1993 for $970. The base configuration could only play music CDs and LaserDisc movies, however, so you'd have to buy the optional Sega Genesis or NEC TurboGrafx-16 packs to play other games. They were expensive ($600 each) and only had a few LaserDisc hybrid games available each.
