English: If the voltage is between 0 Volts and 0.8 Volts the the current is interpreted as a logical 0, meaning current off. If the voltage is between 2 Volts and 5 Volts the the current is interpreted as a logical 1, meaning current on. The interesting part here is that there is a non usable area when interpreting voltage, here between 0.8 Volts and 2 volts. This allows to protect against natural fluctuations of voltage to only consider more "extreme" values.
