An Open Source Handbook of Web Science

A new academic field in computer science has emerged called Web Science with its first text published by Philip Tetlow in 2007[1]. It now has its own journal and an inaugural article about the field by Tim Berners-Lee, Wendy Hall, James A. Hendler, Kieron O'Hara, Nigel Shadbolt and Daniel J. Weitzner [2]

It is thought that as the field is so new an interesting project would be to develop an open source text book here as the field emerges so that there will be free access to information and techniques from the beginning.
