Experimental Skills, code 2852/02, is the AS practical coursework component of Salters Advanced Chemistry. A total of 45 UMS is available to score, which is 15% of the AS marks, or 7.5% or the total A-level marks.

2852/02 assesses four skills:

  • planning (P)
  • implementing (I)
  • analysing evidence and drawing conclusions (A)
  • evaluating evidence and procedures (E)
