AI Art Generation Handbook/FLUX

FLUX 1.0 is a series of AI image generation models from Black Forest Labs (which is coincidentally formed by former Stable Diffusion engineers). Released in August 2024, it can understand natural language, contrasted to only keyword tags in Stable Diffusion, and offers higher quality and accuracy than Stable Diffusion. Three models are available: Schnell, Dev, and Pro. While Pro is proprietary and can only be used via API, Schnell is open-source and Dev is source-available, and both can be run locally.

Like Stable Diffusion, FLUX 1.0 can be fine-tuned for accuracy towards specific concepts.

In August 2024, FLUX 1.0 is fully supported by ComfyUI.

In September 2024, lllyasviel's Forge with the community support have integrated support for FLUX 1.0 into Forge WebUI

In October 2024, FLUX 1.1 Pro was released. Additional modes Ultra (with higher resolution) and Raw (tailored for photorealistic output) were released in November 2024.

In November 2024, Black Forest Labs announced the release of FLUX.1 Tools, a suite of editing tools.
