Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth, known in Japan as Gyakuten Kenji (逆転検事, lit. "Turnabout Prosecutor") is an adventure video game for the Nintendo DS. It was developed and published by Capcom. It is a spin-off of the Ace Attorney series. The game first released in Japan on May 28, 2009, followed by America, Europe, and Australia in February 2010. It was ported to iOS and Android in 2017. This game's place in the timeline is in between Trials and Tribulations and Apollo Justice. In 2011, the game received a sequel, Gyakuten Kenji 2, which only released in Japan.

The game is a standard "point and click" adventure, with the player controlling Edgeworth's movements and what he interacts with. For each case, the goal is to collect evidence to determine who the perpetrator is, how the crime was committed and what the motive is. The gameplay is very similar to the other Ace Attorney games, with investigation phases including evidence collecting and obtaining witness testimony. New gameplay features include movement from a third-person point of view as opposed to a first-person view, utilizing 'Logic' to obtain new evidence, and in place of witness cross-examinations, rebuttals.

Like the main Ace Attorney games, you don't need any knowledge of the justice system or investigation procedures to be able to play this game. You have to find the culprits behind each murder through investigations, confrontations with other characters, and plain old logic. There will usually be an innocent bystander being blamed for the crime, so you must prove their innocence and find the real killer. If you make too many mistakes, the wrong person will be detained, thus resulting in a Game Over.

It's a good idea to read through the Gameplay, Controls and even the Characters pages before starting.
