Advanced Interactive Media/Other Topics/Christian Perspectives on Producing Interactive Media
Proverbs 3:5,6 NKJV - "Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths."
A Biblical Foundation –
Many important questions need to be answered by Christians who are involved in producing interactive media. Fundamentally, this is because our commitment to Christ has inherent bearing on what our lives produce.
For example, one important question is, "How do we love God and love people through interactive media?" Also, "How does what we produce glorify God and appropriately affect and steward those people whom our products will touch?"
Many scriptures can be referenced to answer these, and many other, questions. Paul admonishes believers, in 2 Timothy 2:15 (NKJV), to “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”
To be a responsible producer of interactive media, it is imperative that Christians search out what the Word of God has to say about the manifold facets of our craft. By the Word we can learn not only what such responsibility involves practically, but we can also discover what God’s intentions are for this domain of human creativity.
Such research will protect us from otherwise defaulting into a "worldly" approach to a very important arena.
