020.32 et unam sanctam catholicam et apostolicam ecclesiam     (Latin) and [in] one holy catholic and apostolic church. These words are taken from the Nicene Creed, part of the Ordinary of the Tridentine Mass, which is parodied throughout this episode of the novel. The four adjectives, known as the Four Marks of the Church, assert the uniqueness of the Catholic Church, its sanctity, its universality and its origins in the teachings that Christ imparted to his Apostles.[1]
