A White Russian is a twist on the Black Russian. It is composed of vodka and coffee liqueur with the addition of cream.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 oz vodka
  • 1/2 oz Kahlúa or Tia Maria
  • 4 tsps cream, half-and-half, or milk.

Procedure

  1. Mix together in glass.
  2. Add cream to top off glass and blend until homogeneous.

Variations

  • Colorado Bulldog — use vanilla vodka and add cola to taste.
  • Creamy Albino — substitute Puerto Rican Rum for vodka.
  • White Canuck — use Polar Ice Vodka and two maraschino cherries.
  • White Cuban — substitute rum for vodka.
  • White Trash — substitute whiskey for vodka.
  • Gay Russian — substitute cherry brandy for Kahlúa.
  • Dublin Bulldog — use vanilla vodka and add cola, substitute creme de menthe for Kahlúa.
  • KGB — use a high proof (90% or up) Polish vodka.
  • Stout Russian - substitute cream with guinness
  • Blind Russian (or Muddy Waters) — substitute Bailys Irish Cream for Kahlúa.
  • Royal Russian - Use Grey Goose Vodka, Patron XO, & Godiva White Chocolate Liqueur or Rum Chata
