Si is a Bikol word that serves as a marker to indicate that the focus of the sentence is the name of the person.

There are two ways to use the personal pronoun akó as the subject of the sentence.

1.) Ako can be placed at the beginning of the sentence (before the verb).

Example: Ako si Karl.

2.) In the inverted sentence form, it is placed after the predicate. You can use this form when having a casual conversation.
