Carpentry/Power Tools/Drill

From Wikibooks, open books for an open world

A drill is a tool used to bore holes in a material. A drill may either be manually turned by the user or automatically turned by a motor. The latter is an electric drill. The drill bit is the cutting element of the drill. This bit is a cylendrical shaped piece of metal with a spiral cut. Drill bits can be almost any size from fractions of an inch to larger. A drill press is an electric drill fixed to a pedistal.
