Code page 1057, HP PC-8, is a character encoding specified by IBM.^[1] It is a close derivation of Code page 437.

Codepage layout

Characters are shown with their equivalent Unicode codes. Only the second half of the table (128–255) is shown, the first half (0–127) being the same as code page 437, except that 0x7C is either U+2502 BOX DRAWINGS LIGHT VERTICAL or U+23A5 RIGHT SQUARE BRACKET EXTENSION, and 0x7F is a duplicate of U+2592 MEDIUM SHADE. Also, the circumflex at 0x5E is replaced by U+02C6 MODIFIER LETTER CIRCUMFLEX ACCENT (ˆ), the grave at 0x60 is replaced by U+02CB MODIFIER LETTER GRAVE ACCENT (ˋ), and the tilde at 0x7E is replaced by U+02DC SMALL TILDE (˜).
