IEC-P1289 (or ISO IR-181) is an 8-bit character set developed by the IEC. FreeDOS calls it code page 65503.[1]

Character set

At 0xDE is DOUBLE TILDE, unified with ALMOST EQUAL TO in Unicode. 0xE5 was mapped to U+2208 prior to Unicode 3.1. Only the upper half is shown, the lower half being plain ASCII.
