Giraffe Attack/Wade-Stone Variation/Byrd Attack

3. Qg4?!

This move is interesting. Here White aims to take advantage of the Bishop move. Here Black has options:

3...g6 Is by far the most played move. It moves the g-pawn to comfortable square & prepares for f5.

3...Bf8? This is the Ancient Defense. It undevelops the Bishop, & is just a joke alone.

3...Qf6 This is called the Modern Variation. It aims for the Scholar's Mate (with Black) & develops the Queen as well.

3...Nf6?! Is the Old Variation. A bit too aggressive on Master Level.
