The heuristic approach expands, generalizes and reinforces students' understanding of electronic analog devices. For example, we can represent the inverting amplifier from different points of view: negative feedback inverting circuit, voltage-to-voltage converter, cascaded voltage-to-current and current-to-voltage converters, resistance-to-voltage converter, analog multiplier, voltage stabilizer, etc. This approach expands, summarizes and reinforces students' understanding of electronic analog devices.
