- 1.5 cups (125 g) uncooked rice
- 1 onion, minced
- 3–4 turnips, pared and diced
- 1 cups (150 g) sugar
- Marjoram
- Habañero, salt, and pepper to taste
- 2 white potatoes, peeled and quartered
- 1 tbsp minced parsley
- Parsley for garnish
