Denderu is a typical traditional way of cooking ram meat by the Kanuri tribe. It is easy to prepare.
Ingredients

- Fresh chile pepper
- Maggi cubes
- Salt to taste
- Mutton, sliced
Procedure
[edit | edit source]- Pound together the onions and pepper in a mortar to make a paste. Mix in the maggi cubes and season with salt to taste.
- Rub the pepper paste all over the mutton.
- Bake the meat until soft.

[edit | edit source]- During the preparation of denderu, the abdominal and the head parts of the ram are excluded.
