1 medium chopped = 1 cup
  • Bacon Bits:
1 tablespoon = 1½ strips of bacon
1 × 3-ounces jar = 1½ pounds of bacon
7 grams = 1 tablespoon
¾ cup (not packed) = equals approximately 1 pound of bacon
1 medium mashed = ⅛ cup
1 pound = 2⅔ cups cubed
4 ounces = 1 cup shredded
1 pound = 5 cups ground
1 pound = 3 cups
23 soda crackers = 1 cup
15 graham crackers = 1 cup
½ pint = 2 cups whipped
1 egg = 4 tablespoons liquid
4–5 whole = 1 cup

Approx 1 part dried herbs are equal to 3 parts fresh herbs.
For example: ⅓ Tb dried basil is approximately equal to 1 Tb fresh chopped basil
Can vary based on how fresh the dried herbs are. Longer exposure to light and air can reduce the flavor of dried herbs.
