A quick and easy honey mug cake made in the microwave.
Ingredients

- 4 tbsp all-purpose flour
- ½ tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp yeast
- 1–2 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice (optional)
- Lemon zest (optional)

[edit | edit source]- Combine the flour, yeast, and baking powder in a bowl.
- Add honey, and mix until incorporated.
- Add a small amount of water, and until incorporated.
- Add lemon juice and zest, and mix until the batter is smooth.
- Pour the batter into a mug, and microwave for 60–90 seconds. To check if it's thoroughly cooked through, stick a toothpick in; if it comes out clean, it is ready.
- Serve with any of the optional toppings.
