Ingredients

- Fresh pepper
- Ground crayfish
- Dryfish, cleaned
- Salt to taste
- Stock cube
- Potash, ground
- Hot water
- Palm oil
- Nigerian pumpkin (ugwu) leaves, sliced
Procedure
[edit | edit source]- Coarsely blend the onions, pepper, and crayfish.
- Transfer the blended mixture to a pot, and cook for 5 minutes over medium heat.
- Stir in the the dryfish, salt, stock cube.
- Combine the potash with a little hot water and palm oil.
- Stir the potash mixture into the pot. Cook for a few minutes.
- Stir in the ugwu leaves, and simmer for 2 minutes.
- Serve hot with boiled yam or boiled plantain.
