Quaker oat swallow is a Nigerian swallow made from Quaker brand rolled oats. The oats are ground into powder form and cooked.

Procedure

  1. Bring the water to a boil in a pot.
  2. Stir in the powdered oats until the mixture thickens. Continue stirring to prevent lumps.
  3. Add a very small amount of water, and cook for 5 minutes on low heat. Adding too much water will make the mixture too soft.
  4. Stir again to make sure the mixture is smooth.
  5. Remove from the heat and put in a wrapper.
  6. Serve with any soup of your choice.
