Shikanjvi is a type of traditional limeade or lemonade from the Punjab region of South Asia.[1] While the base ingredients include lemon or lime juice, ginger juice, ice and water, shikanjvi often contains other ingredients such as salt, saffron, mint, rosewater, or cumin.[2]
Ingredients

- 2 lemons, juiced
- 1 small chunk of ginger
- 1–2 teaspoons sugar (raw if possible)
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon pepper
Procedure
[edit | edit source]- Pour the water into a glass.
- Add the lemon juice, ginger, sugar, salt and pepper, then shake it vigorously.
- Serve cold.
