"Snickerdoodles" is the somewhat fantastic name of quickly made little cakes especially dear to the children's heart. A recipe for them copied from an old scrapbook [follows].

Procedure

  1. Stir together sugar and butter until creamy.
  2. Add eggs.
  3. Dissolve baking soda in milk, then add.
  4. Add flour, cream of tartar and salt.
  5. Beat the batter thoroughly.
  6. Pour in shallow pans.
  7. Dust the top of the cake with cinnamon and sugar.
  8. Bake for 15 minutes.
  9. Cool, then cut in squares.
