Enemies
Dice & Dominoes
[edit | edit source]- HP: 1
- Found: Frantic Factory.
- Immunities: none.
- Drops: melon slices.
Only found in Frantic Factory. Dice & Dominoes can be killed with any attack, and they drop melon slices.
Flies
[edit | edit source]- HP: 1
- Found: Creepy Castle.
- Immunities: non-projectiles.
- Drops: melon slices.
Only found in the trashcan area of Creepy Castle. Flies do not actually attack you, but if you shoot them all down you receive a gold banana.
Gnawty
[edit | edit source]- HP: 1
- Found: DK Isle, Jungle Japes, Crystal Caves.
- Immunities: None.
- Drops: melon slices.
Gnawtys are beavers, found on almost every level in varying sizes. All of them can be killed with a single attack of any kind.
Kaboom
[edit | edit source]- HP: 1
- Found: Jungle Japes, Angry Aztec, Gloomy Galleon.
- Immunities: physical attacks.
- Drops: melon slices.
Red-colored Klobbers in barrels marked "TNT". Unlike Klobbers, Kabooms detonate upon impact with the player, or after a set amount of time after being awakened. They can also be killed with projectiles. Upon detonation, Kabooms create a massive explosion which damages any surrounding creatures, including the player.
Kasplat
[edit | edit source]- HP: varies depending on color
- Found: DK Isle, Jungle Japes, Angry Aztec, Frantic Factory, Gloomy Galleon, Fungi Forest, Crystal Caves, Creepy Castle.
- Immunities: none.
These Kremlings are stockier in build, wear sunglasses and leather jackets, and have color-coded hair. The hair of these kremlings correspond to the color of blueprint that they carry on them. If you kill them, they drop a blueprint of the same color as their hair, however you can't pick up the blueprint unless you are the correct kong (just like bananas and banana coins). If their hair is white, then it means you've already gotten the blueprint. Kasplats attack with their fists and by making shockwaves by pounding the ground that also correspond to the color of the blueprint they have (or had). They can take considerably more damage than most other enemies, usually requiring about 15 launcher shots or 5 oranges. However, a Running Template:N64 attack followed by a Template:N64 attack combo will usually kill them, and of course you can use your music.
Killer Tomatoes
[edit | edit source]- HP: 1
- Found: Fungi Forest.
- Immunities: everything except Hunky Chunky.
- Drops: melon slices.
Only found in a specific patch in Fungi Forest. Can only be killed by being stomped on by Hunky Chunky.
KlapTrap
[edit | edit source]- HP: 1
- Found: DK Isle, Angry Aztec, Fungi Forest, Crystal Caves, Hideout Helm.
- Immunities: none (green); all, except oranges (purple).
- Drops: melon slices (green); oranges (purple).
There are green and purple KlapTraps. When you kill a green one, its teeth will burst from its skull and continue to chase you for a period of time before shattering. Green KlapTraps can be killed with any attack, but Purple KlapTraps can only be killed with oranges, and a green KlapTrap's teeth can be preemptively destroyed with a running Template:N64.
Klumps
[edit | edit source]- HP: 1
- Found: Jungle Japes, Angry Aztec, Gloomy Galleon, Fungi Forest, Crystal Caves, Hideout Helm.
- Immunities: All, except oranges.
- Drops: oranges.
Fatter orange and pink Kremlings who throw oranges at you. Klumps can only be killed with oranges.
Klobber
[edit | edit source]- HP: 1
- Found: Angry Aztec, Gloomy Galleon, Crystal Caves.
- Immunities: physical attacks, projectiles.
- Drops: melon slices.
Kremlings in green barrels. In addition to taking a melon quarter, contact with Klobbers results in the player being pushed backwards considerably, making Klobbers particularly dangerous when near cliffs. Klobbers can only be killed with oranges, and drop melon slices.
Kosha
[edit | edit source]- HP: ??
- Found: Gloomy Galleon, Fungi Forest, Crystal Caves, Creepy Castle.
- Immunities: everything except Ground Pound and oranges.
Larger Kremlings with helmets and clubs, occasionally found in some of the later levels. Their attacks take away half a melon, and they are immune to all attacks except for the Ground Pound move given to you by the Banana Fairy. They can also be killed with oranges, but you can only kill them when they have tried to attack you and have their club stuck in the ground. When killed they drop two melon slices.
Kritter
[edit | edit source]- HP: 1
- Found: DK Isle, Jungle Japes, Angry Aztec, Frantic Factory, Gloomy Galleon, Crystal Caves, Hideout Helm.
- Immunities: none.
- Drops: melon slices.
Kritters are the basic henchmen of K. Rool. They come in various sizes, but like Gnawties, you can kill them with any single attack.
Clockwork Kritter
[edit | edit source]- HP: 1
- Found: Frantic Factory.
- Immunities: all except oranges and Primate Punch.
Robotic Kremlings, only found in Frantic Factory. They pause when attacked, but can only be killed with oranges and Chunky's primate punch. They drop 2 melon slices when killed.
Skeleton Kritter
[edit | edit source]- HP: 1
- Found: Fungi Forest (night), Creepy Castle.
- Immunities: none.
Virtually identical to Kremlings except for their appearance. Can be killed with any attack, and drop melon slices.
Ghost Kritter
[edit | edit source]- HP: 1
- Found: Creepy Castle.
- Immunities: none.

Kremlings with sheets over their heads. Can be killed with any attack, drop melon slices.
Mushroom Man

Small orange starfish found in the pool in Angry Aztec and all around Gloomy Galleon. Shuri are only found in water, and will chase after you if approached, although they aren't very fast. They can only be killed by Enguarde.
Vampire Bats
[edit | edit source]- HP: 1
- Found: Fungi Forest (night), Creepy Castle.
- Immunities: non-projectiles.
- Drops: melon slices.
Bats that hang from ceilings in Fungi Forest and Creepy Castle and dive at you. Can be killed with single launcher shots.

[edit | edit source]- HP: 1
- Found: DK Isle, Jungle Japes, Angry Aztec, Fungi Forest, Crystal Caves.
- Immunities: non-projectiles.
- Drops: melon slices.
Zingers are bees that appear in most levels, and sometimes drop green bombs on you if hovering in your proximity. Although small, they can only be killed with launcher ammunition.
Robo-Zinger
[edit | edit source]- HP: 2
- Found: DK Isle, Frantic Factory, Gloomy Galleon, Crystal Caves.
- Immunities: non-projectiles.
- Drops: melon slices.
Robotic Zingers, mostly found in Frantic Factory. Defeating Robo-Zingers takes 2 hits from the launchers rather than one, and they always drop bombs.

Golden Bananas
[edit | edit source]- Banana 1/blueprint: The other cave has Diddy's kasplat. Defeat him and you will be done.
- Banana 2: the second one needs you to pound Diddy's switch. Sounds simple, but the banana is next to Funky's armory and you only have 50 seconds to grab it. Use the banana warps to your advantage and grab it.
- Banana 3: This involves Diddy's weapon the peanut popguns and Cranky's move. Shoot the peanut switch and make your way up the appearing walkway. Go through the gap in the mountain to reveal a mineshaft. In the mineshaft there's a tunnel, go through that and there's a gate in the way. Use Chimpy to charge at the peace of loose fencing and defeat the clomp. There will be a low button, charge into that and a shaft will come available. Pound the switch, defeat the clomps, climb the machinery and walk into the shaft. After there will be a mine cart minigame, complete that and the banana is yours.
- Banana 4: In the shaft there will be a bunch of crates. Jump on those and there will be a peanut switch. Shoot that and a walkway will appear for 30 seconds. Go across and pound the switch to make the banana appear. After getting banana 3 go to the top of the mountain to grab it.
- Banana 5: In the entrance cave there are 2 peanut switches. Shoot them to reveal a new Area. Grab the banana and Diddy's done.

Worlds/Jungle Japes
Outside the Cage
[edit | edit source]- Character: Donkey
- Difficulty: Easy
On your first visit to Jungle Japes, you will have to rescue Diddy Kong while you're there. Just outside his cage is a golden banana, free for the picking.
From the level entrance, climb the nearby palm tree and from the top, use the vines to swing to the far end of the path. At the far end, hit the switch: It will open a gate below. Jump down, and make your way through the newly opened tunnel.
At the far end of the tunnel is the main body of the Jungle level, where Diddy will call over during a cutscene on your first visit. He is somewhere on the mountain, and Donkey is the man (ape?) to climb it and bust him out! The foot of the mountain is surrounded by a pool of water. If you head counter-clockwise around it a little, you should be able to see a beanstalk running up the hillside. Jump into the water and swim over, climbing up the beanstalk.
Donkey will be just outside Funky's store, situated on the side of the mountain. Buying a weapon is necessary to free Diddy Kong, but not to collect this golden banana, so we will bypass this for now. Turn to face away from Funky's armory, and look out for a set of vines. Use these to swing across to another ledge, this one featuring a cannon. Walk right into the cannon, and Donkey will automatically be launched up, landing just outside Diddy's cage. That banana is right in front of you!
Rescue Diddy
[edit | edit source]- Character: Donkey
- Difficulty: Easy
This golden banana is inside Diddy Kong's cage on top of the mountain in Jungle Japes, and it ain't coming out until the cage is opened. Follow these steps to unlock Diddy Kong, as well as another golden banana.
First, make sure you have obtained the 'Outside the Cage' banana -- you can't get this one without it. Once Donkey grabs the bounty, three switches will appear throughout the level. These switches must be shot using a coconut gun, available for purchase at Funky's armoury for 3 coins. Backtrack to his store (see 'Outside the Cage') and pick it up. If you do not have the coins, they can be found in the tunnel near the entrance of the level.
Once left Funky's with your new weapon, walk over to the edge with the vines again (see 'Outside the Cage'). Stand at the very edge of the cliff, as close as you can without risking falling off the edge. Now, pull out your shooter, and use Template:N64 to aim it.
Point the crosshair at the side of the mountain, and move down a bit. The switch is on the side of the mountain here. If you cannot shoot it from your current location, exit aiming mode and try again from a different spot. Shoot the switch.
With one down, come down from the mountain and return to the ground level. There are two switches left, and it is not important which order they are done.
On the left hand side of the level is a closed gate, with a coconut switch above it. This can be shot very easily if you are close enough to see it. However, there are Zingers flying around the area, and you will lose your aim if hit. It is recommended you dispatch them before attempting to activate the switch. Another alternative is to climb up a nearby tree and shoot the switch from there. Either way works.
The right hand side of the level is set out in a very similar way to the left. It even has a similar switch, which can be taken care of the same way you dealt with its brother on the left end.
Once all three switches are hit, Diddy's cage will open up. You can now play as Diddy Kong, (just jump into a tag barrel to change) and he left that golden banana in his cage for you to collect.
Yellow Blueprint #1 and Purple Blueprint #1
[edit | edit source]- Character: Donkey/Tiny
- Difficulty: Easy
Once you've opened Diddy Kong's cage, enter the door on the left hand side of the level. There should be a Kasplat there with yellow hair. Have Donkey defeat him and pick up the blueprint, then return to Snide at the top of the mountain where you freed Diddy Kong (he is on the cliff above Funky's Armory) to turn it in. Be sure to come back once you've freed Tiny and get her Blueprint from the purple-haired Kasplat that's just past the yellow-haired one.
Barrel Blast Game
[edit | edit source]- Character: Donkey
- Difficulty: Easy, but possibly time consuming
Remember the door above the water that you opened while freeing Diddy? Go through it, making sure to get the "4" pad. Enter the cave, go the route that doesn't have vines. Run past the beaver and you will be in a stormy area. Hit the "4" pad there, then enter Cranky's lab and buy the potion if you have enough money. (If Diddy has enough money, he should buy Chimpy Charge here as well.) Go to the 4-pad to teleport out of the stormy area.
Back at the mountain, there is a special pad on the right-hand side of the level. Climb up a tree and jump across some vines to get to it. Press Template:N64 like Cranky told you to enter a barrel blast minigame. Shoot from barrel to barrel until you reach the Golden Banana. Shoot at it and you will collect it.
Red Blueprint #1
[edit | edit source]- Character: Diddy
- Difficulty: Easy
Go into the cave mentioned above. Remember when I said to go to the route that doesn't have vines? Well, this time, go the route that has vines. Get across the pit to the Kasplat with red hair. Take it down, then pick up the Blueprint and take it back to S. Nide.
Rambi
[edit | edit source]- Character: Donkey
- Difficulty: Trivial
Behind Cranky's Lab is a coconut switch. Open it, and you can get the contents behind the gate, including Rambi.
Rambi can be used to smash the four huts in the area, one of which contains a DK button. Pounding this button will reveal a golden banana in the starting area.
Also with Rambi, you can head back into the tunnel, and take the first turn left. Smash down the wall will open up a small section containing a banana fairy, and a few other items to be handled later.
Army Dillo
[edit | edit source]- Character: Donkey
Army Dillo is the first boss, and should be a warmup. There are three sections to this fight:
- He will open by attacking from the fireball launchers. They are slow moving, and have no lead-ahead, thus they are easily dodged by rolling with Template:N64+Template:N64.
- After launching enough fireballs, he will peek out of his shell. Quickly move to the TNT barrel in the middle of the arena, and throw it at him.
- He will curl up, and roll towards you. He may be slightly faster than normal movement, but the DK's roll will still be faster.
Once Army Dillo is hit for the third time, he will flee, dropping one of K. Lumsy's keys.
Worlds/Jungle Japes/Donkey Kong
Golden Bananas
[edit | edit source]Banana 1: The first banana is right in front of Diddy's cell. Just swing on a couple of vines and you got your first banana.
Banana 2: Now its time to get Diddy out of his cell. First you will need DK's coconut shooter, which is purchased for three yellow coins (see below if necessary). There will be 3 coconut switches: 1 on each door. Shoot them and Diddy is free, he will leave a banana and join your party.
Banana 3: This one involves rambi the rhino, get him and charge down the 4 huts. 1 contains a dk button, pound that and a banana will pop up near the start of the level. Get the banana and only 2 more to go.
Banana 4: Banana 4 involves the dk pad move that Crankey teaches you. Swing on some vines and the pad will take you to a barrel blast course. Complete that to get the banana.
Banana 5/blueprint: The kasplat is in a cave you unlock when you get banana 2. Destroy that and the blueprints yours.
Yellow banana locations
[edit | edit source]- 5 bananas: At the start, where you swing across the vines.
- 5: At first bananaport #3.
- 13: Near snide's HQ.
- 5: Climb the tree near the armory.
- 10: In a balloon Circling around stone near first bananaport #3.
