Wooden armor is an extremely primitive form of protection widely used before the advent of metal-working. It is made of thin planks of wood and covers the torso but not the arms or other parts of the body. Some modern cultures retain it as ceremonial garb as all forms of metal armor are superior both in protection and flexibility to wooden armor. However, the armorers of Coneria still produce a number of sets of wooden armor, along with Chain Mail, intended for combat use.
