Wooden Staves are extremely simple bludgeoning weapons that are often carried as symbols by apprentice mages. As weapons, they leave much to be desired. They are basically large sticks that are used to strike foes. These staves are about five feet long and four inches in diameter.
There are rumors of certain staves having magical powers, but if these potent weapons exist, they are certainly not held by the apprentices who make use of the wooden staff.
The Wooden Staff is a good starting weapon for the White Mage, though the Iron Hammer is decidedly better.
