[edit | edit source]The most common floating-point standard is the IEEE 754 standard. This standard has the following official titles:
- IEEE Standard for Binary Floating-Point Arithmetic (ANSI/IEEE Std 754-1985)
- IEC 60559:1989, Binary floating-point arithmetic for microprocessor systems
IEEE 754r

The IEEE 754 standard is currently undergoing review and possible revisions. The revised standard is called IEEE 754r.
