How a plural noun is formed, in Spanish, depends on how the singular noun ends.

  • If the singular noun ends in a vowel, like manzana, the plural is formed with an s, like manzanas.
  • If the singular noun ends in a consonant, like mujer, the plural is formed with an es, like mujeres.
