Today in 2017 Google published the first alpha version of Flutter, a cross-platform widget system for graphical user interfaces. It has become one of the most popular Open Source software projects. Finding more rather obscure building blocks instead of well-known end-user products among the most popular Open Source projects illustrates that Open Source has become more focused on developer productivity than its values and user rights aspects.
