Chapter 82

The headline in the August 1, 1945 issue of The Weems Weekly reads "Man Falls in Lacquer." Dot writes that she wouldn't believe it if she weren't married to him. It happened at the railroad yard and Opal had to come cut the lacquer out of his hair. She asks if any of her readers know of a good babysitter for a husband. The war is over and the boys are home. Ninny and Albert brought Dot a four-leaf clover they found in their yard. Dot thanks them in her article.
