Description
[edit | edit source]Returns information about available heap memory or about an INDEX$
string array. In addition, if you specify the value _maxAvail
in expr
, the MEM
function will force all purgeable resources to be removed from memory.
Specify one of the following values in expr
to get information about the application's heap memory:

Specify one of the following values in expr
to get information about an INDEX$
string array. In this table, indexID
represents the ID number (0 through 9) of the array you're interested in. If the specified INDEX$
array has not yet been initialized (using the CLEAR<index>
statement), MEM
returns zero for all of the items in this table.
