A previously multi-item 7-point scale was used. It was further pretested with six logistics researchers and six executive managers of logistics service providers to ensure face validity.

Cooperation-based learning, as one of the major motives behind cooperative strategies of firms in general (Doz & Hamel, 1998), refers to the extent to which intangible resources like know-how and information can be adopted from cooperation partners (Kogut, 1988).
