Horticulture/Coppicing for Weed Control

Coppicing is a pruning technique used for creating informal hedges out of trees and/or shrubs. The plants are cut to the ground at regular intervals, such as once per year, or perhaps once every 5 years. For weed trees, it can be used as a preventative measure against allowing the tree to set seed by cutting whenever the regrowth stems are mature enough to begin producing fruit.
