Fundor was a dragon who lived during the age of the Dragon Riders. He fought a giant sea snake. "Fundor" was one of the names Brom offered to Eragon when Eragon was looking for a name for his dragon. It is likely that he managed to kill the Nidwhal, and that the event occurred in Fundor bay, which would explain the name of the northern piece of ocean.
