- 英語はほとんど忘れました
- I have almost completed forgotten English.
- 英語はほとんど忘れました
- Source/subject is suffixed with は then recipient of message/thing suffixed with に object most often followed with を finally the verb (any form e.g., present, past, future, past-participle, future-participle) 貸します.
- 私は友達に車を貸しました
- I lent my (the) car to a friend.
- 私は友達に車を貸しました
- subject は followed by 'もう=mou' proceeding a past-form of a verb means already. This phonetic 'mou' is the same sound in a similar gramatical structure that, although easy to understand when read in a textbook, is difficult to apply for non-Native Speaker, making its use humorously-confusing.

- The kid is already asleep (has already gone to sleep).
