Description: The project will examine how young people interact the in Trafford Center nearby Manchester. On the basis of the specific history and social context of the center we will thereby try to get a socio-spatial understanding of the codexes and rules that is connected to the Trafford Center. With an ethnographical view we will try to get an understanding of how the young people interact and shape their own space within the center.

Problem statement:

How do young people shape their own space within the Trafford Center?

  • How do they interact?
  • Which cultures is represented?
  • How often do these young people come here? From Where? And Why?
