Basics of Voice-Leading
[edit | edit source]Voice leading primarily consists of four distinct voices on two staves (the treble and bass staves), which encompass the entire musical scale. The four voices are:
- Soprano: This is the highest voice, sung by females.
- Alto: The next highest voice, sung by females.
- Tenor: Sung by males.
- Bass: The lowest voice, sung by males.
