Past LSAT Explained/Main Idea(RC)

From Wikibooks, open books for an open world

Main Idea (Reading Comprehension) This global question is a perennial favorite RC question. It is important you remember not only what the author is saying but why he is saying. The author is leading you to a certain point. All the LSAT passages are well-written (if convoluted) and scholar piece of writing. Though hidden under the loads of difficult ideas and facts, the main idea itself is pretty evident and unequivocal (otherwise the LSAC will have a hard time defending the answer to 100,000 test takers).
