Pidgin/Installing OTR

The document will guide you to install Off-the-Record Messaging in Pidgin, which allows users to have end-to-end encrypted conversations.

You must have Pidgin already installed.

Installation

Linux

Under Debian and derivatives you just need to install the pidgin-otr package:

# apt-get install pidgin-otr

Then launch pidgin and go to Tools->Plugins to enable "Off-the-record Messaging".

Windows
