User Assistant

[edit | edit source]

To get started, from the main menu on the main application window, select the command [Help » Getting Started]. This will bring up the User Assistant window and Tomas, the assistant, will greet you and guide you through a number of dialog boxes. Tomas will let you know in general how windows in this application are arranged and presented.

The image below shows what Tomas looks like. One of the things you can ask Tomas to do is, as shown in the image, to set it up so that you when you select the Go command from the main menu, the start-up script springs into action.

This page is part of The Shortest Route, which is the shortest sequence of pages that would as quickly as possible bring you to the point where you can start using PlanoTse effectively for either job search automation or any other application in the mining of global data from the World Wide Web.
