Quarter-Tone Harmony

From Wikibooks, open books for an open world

This book discusses harmonic and melodic music theory in the quarter-tone system, an extended, microtonal musical system with twenty-four notes in every octave rather than the conventional twelve. Specifically, it uses an approach similar to the seminal work by composer Ivan Wyschnegradsky, the Manual of Quarter-Tone Harmony, although with some extra sections.
