The procedure for installing a new VirtualBox or updating an existing installation is the same. If updating, close your Virtualbox Windows and stop the virtual machines.

You may find that Virtual Box installed in the 32 bit version only (creating VM host there are no 64 bit options). You need to enable Virtualization option in your workstation BIOS, restart the workstation and re-install the Virtual BOX

Run Oracle VM VirtualBox Setup.
On the welcome page, click Next:

Vbox install welcome

Leave the default component selection, click Next:

Vbox install component selection

Click Next:

Vbox install create shortcuts

Unless you have pending downloads or batches over the network, click Yes:

Vbox install network reset

Click Install:

Vbox install ready to install

The installation is completed. Click Finish to open VirtualBox:

Vbox install completed
