Router Repeater Setup using WDS on Tomato/DD-WRT

Wireless Distribution System (WDS) Repeater Network setup

The "Basic Wireless" Setup screen should look like this afterwards:

Main Router - Buffalo WHR-G125 (usually with Internet Access)

WAN port connected to Internet

WAN
(configure normally)

LAN

IP Address = 10.0.0.1

DHCP Server = enabled

Wireless

Wireless Mode = Access Point + WDS

SSID = WifiLapper-EnduroRacer (change to your own unique suffex)

Channel = 1

Security = WPA Personal

Encryption = AES

Shared Key = putyoursharedkeyhere

WDS = Link With

MAC Address = (*wireless* MAC address of the Repeater Router below)

Repeater Router - Linksys WRT54G (No internet access)

WAN port not used

WAN

Type = Disabled

LAN

IP Address = 10.0.0.2

Default Gateway = 10.0.0.1 (Main Router IP address)

Static DNS = 10.0.0.1 (Main Router IP address)

DHCP Server = Disabled (Main Router handles DHCP)

Wireless

Wireless Mode = WDS

SSID = WifiLapper-EnduroRacer

Channel = 1

Security = WPA Personal

Encryption = AES

Shared Key = putyoursharedkeyhere

WDS = Link With

MAC Address = (*wireless* MAC address of the Main Router) (might not even need to be set)
