After consideration of the available offers, the GC17 continuum approach the ideal candidate. On the 15th May 2009 it was announced that Travis Auld, previous Essendon administrator, would be the CEO of GC17. Shaun Hart and Marcus Ashcroft were also appointed to the coaching panel as Football Operations manager and assistant coach respectively. Various other high profile local business men including persons with law background and experience in accounting, public relations and business were appointed to the administration staff.
