ON- FIELD TECHNOLOGY’’’

Many argue that football would be a better, fairer game if technology was used to track the ball and even players around the field [1].

But despite all of the technology available and its proven performance in other sports, FIFA president Sepp Blatter has previously decided not to use any of it [2].

FIFA’s philosophy is world football. They want to be able to say that the game played in the English Premier League is the same as that played at the local club by a team of under 12s.

There is so much money involved now in the games at the higher level that the various types of technology should be introduced.

On-field technologies including goal-line technology, Hawk-eye and GPS tracking, of both the players and the ball have been debated on numerous occasions [1].
